Work on Retraining your Taste Buds

You might think that you can't live without sugar, but I bet that you can lose your taste for it. The key is to take it out of your diet and then retrain your taste buds to love the taste of spice and a bit sour. You'll be amazed that suddenly anything sugary will taste too sugary and you won't like it anymore. That's the key to freedom from a sugar addiction. Break the habit and then lose your taste for it.

Realize that Fat Isn't the Enemy

You should make sure to have the right fat or healthy fats like coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil and supplement with pure natural fish oil. The fat from nuts is also perfect for good health. Many people rid their lives of fat and then use sugar as a replacement for flavor. Don't fall into that trap.

Wow! What a week we had! You all have really stepped it up this past week. Dr. Clark can't believe the improvement that you all have made. All we can say is keep up the good work. It was a harder week for some, as most of the team members were not feeling up to par; however, they still gave it all their best. Hopefully in the last two weeks we'll see you all improve even more and really start pushing yourselves to the limit.

Congratulations to the Lifetime Wellness Team for coming in first with 866,100. They are trying to keep us all away so they can win, but those Wellness Challengers are trying to give it all they have to knock them down. They have came in second with 628,719. In third was the Wellness Warriors with 608,538, in fourth place was the Veggie Lovers with 586,000, fifth place the Wellness Chasers 486,440 and in last place is the Extreme Energizers 388,783.

Modify your coffee habit

Many of us have been kidding ourselves over the years about our little 800 calorie midday or morning coffee pit-stops. It's time to realize that adding sugar, chocolate and whipped cream to coffee turns it into a very high calorie dessert. I'd rather opt for plain coffee and add a little organic half & half plus xylitol or stevia.

We have made it to the middle of our friendly competition with our teams challenging each other to go above and beyond to beat out the teams in front of them. What an exciting week three as some teams fell behind and others jumping ahead. As we go into week four don't give up, as we are almost to the end. This is crunch time to do your best try and add more things in that will help you get to your goal optimal health.
We need to recognize the Wellness Chasers as they have jumped into fourth as they were able to knock the Veggie Lovers down to fifth place. Make Healthy Lateral Switches when it comes to foods.

I don't want you to just deny yourself, but make conscious lateral shifts. For example, if you love soda then switch over to sparkling water with some Emergen-C in it. It's a delicious mock-tail. Soon, you won't even miss your soda anymore and may actually come to hate the taste of it (Believe me, it's true).

Don't Do Artificial Sweeteners--AT ALL

Switch to stevia or xylitol, and just use a little bit. Get rid of all the rest of the chemical gunk sweeteners. If you have a stash at home or in your purse, then get rid of them. Make sure you read labels because many foods are full of these chemicals, especially diet food and sodas.

STOP EATING CHEMICALS!

Make a vow this year to take as many food chemicals out of your life as possible. This means nixing the diet sodas and boxed meals. Really read the labels, and if you can't pronounce it then don't eat it. Remember that many so-called healthy sports drinks are also full of sugar and chemicals. One great benefit of getting rid of these chemicals is your skin will look brighter and glow.
