The first was James Herschel Seal. He died at 90 years old and was known in our office as Mr. Seal. He was a faithful practice member and a good friend for over 15 years. Even into his 80's, Mr. Seal worked harder then most people I know could in their 40's.

The first day I met Mr. Seal, he was in a wheelchair, and he was 75 years old. His commitment and determination to get well and stay well inspired me as young chiropractor. I thank God I had the opportunity to be Mr. Seal's chiropractor.

The other was Buna Edith Weckter, and she was 96 years old. Once, when I was young in practice, I went to talk about health and chiropractic in a meeting at Mrs. Buna's church. I sat a lunch that day with Mrs. Buna and some of her friends as she educated me on the value of the amazing things she had seen in her family with chiropractic care. I went there to educate them, but I got the best education that day. Mrs Weckter used to tell me that she prayed for my hands, and so I thank God for her and her life well lived.

I think success leaves clues, and I think the fact that both of these people lived past 90 years of age was not an accident. I think that we can learn much about health and about life from their example. May God bless their memories and their families as as they mourn.
